are you saying the wrench wont fit onto the nut line the nut is countersunk into
the wood .
  or is it too hard to manipulate the wrench inside the guitar?
  they do make wrenches that are just the open end with a fitting for a 1/4 inch
drive extention
  they are called crowfoot wrenches , hope this helps
