Hi Joe, Cross picking is just another "technique" that applies
itself to these guitars. Jerry D. teaches it on one (maybe more by now) of his
early video courses. It's kinda like picking down twice and picking UP but only
once, and picking down twice....etc. Listen close to a really good mandolin
player, they use this technique a lot.
In a rush this morning, as trying to get out of here to go to Joe Val, but I
hope this brief explanation helps.
Interesting story re: Howard's guitars. If this turns into a "thread"
thing....(puter idjit here remember) when I get back from Joe Val after this
weekend, I'd have some input of my own.....yeehaw!
