Great description of cross picking Tom, u musta learned that technique from your
"black years" of playing that other instrument that uses our kinda
fingerpicks...the one with the skin head....slender neck.... li'l half a string
stuck atop the neck kinda like an afterthought, etc.
Sorry I missed your Valentine show last night, me n "Sadie" was down to
Clancey's getting warmed up for Joe Val Festival.
Great story on your guitars, Howard, and if this turns into a "thread" (might be
interesting to hear how some of us got started on this instrument) I'll have some
thoughts of my own to add after this weekend when I have a bit more time. Of
course to put it really simply, all I've done, mostly, is to provide a "home" for
a couple of Sho-Bros......and continue to have a lot of PURE FUN as a result of
this. (Thank you Shot Jackson, sir.)
Y'all keep "twangin", (I'm gonna aggravate Andy Katz.....heh heh)
Richie
