Hey Tom,
I would have come to the Wintergrass Bluegrass Festival, but I didn't see
any postings on it (other than the fact that you weren't ready, snicker
snicker). I am hoping to meet you and the rest of the guys someday. And by
the way, the radio show last Thursday was great. I am in Las Vegas, Nevada
and wasn't quick enough to sign up for Resosummit this year. Where can I
look for future workshops, etc in your area? I would gladly travel to your
neck of the woods for some expert instruction. I am trying to learn to play
from a book and the postings on resoguit. Thank you for any help you can
give me. Have a great time this weekend. As a sidenote: Betty, what is going
on in So Cal that I could take advantage of? Thanks.

The Wintergrass Bluegrass Festival begins this Thursday Feb 21 at the
Murano Hotel
(used to be the Sheraton) in Tacoma, WA. Check the web site for the
lineup of the bands.
Friday Workshops that address aspects of the Resonator Guitar are as
follows:
at 12:30 pm at the 3rd floor Mezzanine Stage area Paul Beard will
conduct a
workshop on the care and feeding of the resonator guitar. Paul will
lead us through
a set up procedure and answer questions about resonator guitars in
general and
Beard guitars in particular. He will also have with him in Tacoma 2
prototype models
of the new Jerry Douglas Signature guitar.
Ballroom 2 12:30 pm Beginning Reso Greg Maass
1:45 pm Advanced Reso Matt DeSpain
(plays with Bobby Osborne)
4:15 pm Resomania!
Marty Lepore, Al Brinkerhoff, Tab Tabscott,
