I think that might be why there is a difference in the number of grammys
between them all. Alison, understands the whole concept of music.

Larue, the only thing wrong with Emmy Lou and Carolina Star is that it is
Emmy Lou with Carolina Star. I saw them live last year and have seen Emmy
Lou live before. Saint Mike was/is a saint but you have to really pay
attention to pull his playing out of Emmy lou's sound.
He is such a team player and it seemed Emmy Lou is not like Alison. She
doesn't seem to appreciate what a great dobro player can do. There were no
stand out dobro "breaks" with them at Merlefest and no duets or back and
forth between Emmy Lou and Mike the way Alison and Jerry reflect each
other's melody lines.
Dolly was the same with her dobro player when we saw them in Winston Salem.
There was Dolly and there was the band. And the little sparrow kept the lead
and the spotlight all the way through.
