Yeah, what is it about river/water songs and the dobro? Moody River, MA's
'Muddy Water,' Deep River Blues... All of 'em just _work_.
At band rehearsal today, we decided that the Doobie Bros. "Black Water"
needed a bluegrass setting, so we're gonna do our worst on that one, too.
River songs just seem to happen when you pick up a dobro.
:) Matt
P.S.
Hey, everybody pitch in and list the river songs you do!
Up a Lazy River
Ocean of Dreams
Deep River Blues
Muddy Waters
Oh, Lost River
New River Train
River of Love
Paradise
Across the Great Divide
Crazy Creek
Cripple Creek
Louisiana
River Roll On
No Fishin' Here
Over The Waterfall
Peche a la Mouche
Salt Creek
Important Part of Fishin'...

...I got a copy of Anne Humphreys and Greg Hawks doing Moody River, too.
Damn that's a fine song the way they they do it.
Could use some dobro on it, though. ;-)
I'm just sayin . . . .
