Subject:RE: [RESOGUIT-L] Django tunes!

I stick with G because when I switch to something else my improv gets all
messed up, and to me that's what it's all about - especially on these jazz
tunes. So I just use whatever I can find in standard G-tuning and my
minimal slants and pulls. For instance, the C7b9 is pretty darn close to an
A7... I just don't count on having many three - or any four or five - note
chord voicings. Play it like a horn. :)

Obviously you can not play the same chord voicings as Django used but the b7
& b9 are pretty easy to hit with the standard C6 tuning. Which tunings have
your tried?
