Subject:Re: [RESOGUIT-L] Gig Bag Recommendations Wanted

This is a wonderful "thread" regarding gig bags, and now morphing into dobro
cases. I've considered getting a lighter case ( and believe me, the older I get
the more I consider it,) for "Blackie" my still wonderful DeNeve, but I have a
question?

Why do cases, always have to be black??? Why can't this gig bag, or light
weight case be covered on the outside, say with silver? Like the "space age"
case cover I've got for "Blackie's" regular TKL hardshell case that I tell
everyone came from N.A.S.A.??? If I was a guitar, shut in my case, in the back
seat of a car, or even out in the hot sun, I think I'd be much happier if my case
was REFLECTING the heat away from me, rather than ABSORBING the heat as a black
case will do!!!

If someone makes that light weight Travel-lite case in ***SILVER*** rather than
black, I'll be first in line....

FWIW, all of my Sho-Bros came in their own, obviously well used, cases. So when
I can't stand the looks of the case anymore, I'll paint 'em white! (Reflective!)

In the meantime, somewhere's on my "things to do" list, is an adaptation of your
basic golf club cart, (take notes Tom Foote,) to carry a couple of dobros around
festivals. By the time I get around to this, I'll probably be TOWING the thing
around festivals, behind one of those small electric scooters.........O;-(

Keep twangin, it keep ya YOUNG!

Richie
