Seconded (or thirded) - mine travels all the time around the Greater Tokyo
train and subway system, and hiking around the town from home to station to
gigs, and the Beard GoldTone inside has survived bumps and falls and even
remained in tune. Would I pack it in a plane as checked baggage? No, but I
would certainly carry it on and feel confident I would have a playable
instrument at the other end.
The pockets carry picks, slides, strap, songbook, preamp, cables, spare
strings, spare battery for preamp, wirecutters, screwdriver, book to read on
train, etc. Excellent value for money, IMHO.
And it's not just in black - I have the green one, but tan or blue are also
options (match your eye color?).
