I liked the Shelors - they fit well, and they were plenty stiff enough for
me. As to Pete Grant's question about stainless steel's effect on tone
compared with brass or nickel, I'm sorry, I never really listened closely
enough. I was more concerned with fit at the time. I lost the picks a couple
of years and have gone back to Dunlop .025's.
I have never had the patience to sculp these picks for optimal fit, but then
again, I have never had someone with the patience of Dick Deneve describe
the process so completely for me. Thanks Dick.
