I still like Mr DeNeve's idea of sticking your fingers in your mouth. I just
hesitated to mention it, this being a "family" forum n all........O;-)
Just kidding and your mileage may vary.......(and I hope it's better'n mine!)
I think I've still got a small container of "G/S" in the cases of my guitars
that go out on gigs, but the saliva bit works fine for me, along with properly
sized picks, of course.
I also agree with the thinking of when you do get the hangnail, to put some
Neosporin on it, and cover it overnight with a band-aid. That works for me,
also.
