What's really needed is an auto tuning banjo!!!
I've never seen one of these so called "self tuning" guitars, except for a
demonstration on You Tube, but even in this advanced world of computers, men on
the moon, space stations, etc., this has to be a gimmick. I'd love to mess
around with one, but like Lee said, I still trust what's left of my hearing over
the average electronic tuner. I do keep tuners on all of my "working" guitars,
mainly to see if the banjo player in the jam session I'm thinking of
"aggravating" is tuned A 440 standard, or not. (Just kidding all you banjo
players who may read this....)
Besides, I'm playing mainly for ***ME***, so no matter what the tuner I'm using
tells me, I use it as a guide for what I think my instrument should sound like,
and so far, folks still let me in the jam sessions, so I guess my approach is
still working.
Wish I could get to the upcoming RESONATEURS GATHERING.
Twangs,
Richie
