Just a reminder that the First (annual, I hope) Bluegrass At the Woodland
Festival is going to be held next Weekend, July 12 & 13. The line-up includes The Bristol Boys featuring Matt Nozollio, and the host band Dobro Dan & the Innocent Bystanders with yours truly sliding up and down the fret board. I've also just learned of another dobrologist that will be in attendance. Pine Creek has recently had a re-arraingment of players. Don Lurgio will be playing with this band.
Don is a multi-instrumentalist. His resume' includes playing fiddle and mandolin
with Bil Hall and Northwind Bluegrass, as well as playing ojnab and bass with the
Island Farm Bluegrass Band. Most recently, he was the bass player for Pine Creek,
but has now moved over to Dobro. In addition to this, Don is also the first
person to show me how to make a G-chord on dobro. Hope to see you all
there-well-at least those close enough to make it by.
