Sorry I missed you Andy. I also just got back myself. I spent about
an hour With Chad and a couple of other Reso players. He sure is
an awesome player. We were under the tents on top of the hill at the
picnic tables.
The reso community was well represented With Chad playing with Valerie,
Tom Langdon with Carolina Sonshine, Another fella with the "Jerks of Grass",
and myself guesting with the Seth Sawyer band.
This was the first time I ever saw static lightning. There was a 30 foot tall
metal staging behind the soundman, and all the time we were on the stage
at around 5 minute intervals the white sparks were shooting from it each
time with a loud crackle. I was told that it happens all the time at that
location
because of high mineral content in the ground. They shut down the show
after our set, and brought in into the barn. It was a great venue. Up close and
personal as they say. All the musicians loved it .
Other than the weather for a couple of hours Saturday PM, it was a great time.
