I was at Thomas Point Beach last weekend, (Hi again Randy Getz!) and I was
talking to Roger Williams. It was late at night, and we were both in a brief
pause in our different jam sessions, and I told Roger how much I admired his
playing ability, and Roger said he really wondered if he'd "made any difference"
was, I think the way he expressed it. I told him, "Roger, you've brought me a
LOT of pleasure, from your talents." and he thanked me, and so like a pebble
tossed into a pond, the ripples spread.
"St. Mike's" legendary talents, led "Poobah" and Lee, and so many others, to
resonator guitar, and as the "ripples" spread Howard, you learned how to play,
and eventually created this list, and Lee, you've also learned how to play, and
I'm sure in turn, brought pleasure to listeners, and so have so many others,
right down to hopefully, even me.....
So you ask with regards to your "formative years," the question, "where'd my
youth go?" Well let me say it was time well spent!
