The Steeldrivers are a must listen . . . no reso, but here's their site, and
make SURE you listen to 'Can You Run' about 20 times till you stop bawlin like a
baby (took ME 30 listens to stop bawlin). They stole the show, my heart and WHAT
a live and killer set they did!!!!
But now to the reso content!!! *G*

From jazz, swing, to almost grass . . . I was speechless 'cept for a whole lot
of 'yahoo' every couple of minutes!!! Incredible, incredible music they are
putting out!!
Witcher, what can I say . . . listen to some clips from the site, go see them if
you can. They stole the fest for me, along with The Steeldrivers . . .
All the other grass bands were fine, too, but no reso's other than Belle Monroe
And Her Brewglass Boys (SF regional band). HER reso player RIck Hendrick's, does
a fine job.
But it was Witcher with Missy's band and The Steeldrivers who set THIS Larue
Loose in the music meadow!!
So, Richie, in answer to where'd our youth go?
Dude, I was 16 again, all fest long . . . . !!!!!!! *G*
And I always am . . . yer youth is right there in yer fingers, voices, the music
and your hearts . . . . I would submit.
And yes, we are ALL kept younger for the works of Roger Williams, St. Mike, what
Poobah has done with the list, . . . And we are kept young by each and every
reso and reso player that finds a voice we happen to hear . . . from Oz and Josh
to the new crop of Josh Swift, Matt Ledbetter, Billy Cardine, Randy Kohrs and
many more 'youngsters' . . . . and all those in-between including many on THIS
list.
