The Rogue, Johnson, Regal, or any of the other cheapos should be good enough for
a 10 year old to bang around. If he gets serious about learning to play it can be
up-graded with a Beard cone, bone nut, and maple or maple-ebony bridge inserts. A
10 year old don't really need a Sheerhorn to learn on. Properly set up it can be
made to sound pretty decent.
