Hi Reso Folks,
We had a wonderful time at IBMA as usual. Thanks to Betty and CBA for their
hospitality and for arranging the gathering of reso players. It was a wonderful
time to be with friends. By the way, Howard, I'm the "Unknown" in photo #41 with
Mark Panfil and Betty. I was down there with my DeNeve. There were so many
wonderful instruments and pickers down there. I was most impressed with the new
Aura System for Acoustics - wow! It's like getting the benefit of owning dozens
of top microphones and really produces a truly acoustic sound. I plan on sending
my guitar down to Beard for an installation soon.

Another special moment for me happened at IBMA, when Betty brought in Mondi
Kline and Jimmy Gaudreau to play and sing with Mike Auldridge. What a treat to
sit directly in back of Mike, Jimmy and Mondi while they were performing. Well,
we just got in the door from Nashville and playing until 3:30 in the morning is
finally catching up with me. Hope you all got home safely.

Tom Thorpe

> I'm in complete agreement with Andy on that last "signoff shot," Howard. You can almost look thru your "glazed eyeholes" and into your cranium and see where there's a "whirlpool" of cones, baffles, spider bridges, and the various components that make up a modern resophonic guitar. Oh and the music, let's not forget the music!!!
