Concerning the "Paluwag sa Bayan" and the organization of "love banks", we
were slowed down
because of other pressing projects. But we have made a very important decision
in the diocese.
In line with the First Diocesan Synod, we have made Social Credit the formal
program of our
Social Action Center (SPACFI or Socio Pastoral Action Center Foundation Inc.)
We fused the
Center with the Catechetical Center with our Director, myself and an Executive
Director. We have
appointed Mr. Rolly Acuna the Manager of SPACFI. He is the person we elected
to manage the
Social Credit Love Banks. As you see we have made a coordinated and concerted
program to
establish Self-sufficiency with Social Credit as means of implementing these
programs through
the BEC (Basic Ecclesial Communities).
3. We finished translating the "Money Myth" into Tagalog and sent a copy to
St. Michael Center.
A sequel of the money myth is being prepared in comics form - the
establishment of as many "love
banks" as possible.
4. We have recruited volunteers of our program. One of these is a lady lawyer
who immediately
grasped the ideas of Social Credit. We are concentrating on education to
self-respect and mutual
trust which are so basic for social credit. The poor people are our hope.
