"...you could have made the point with one of Douglas'
more concise statements."
------------------------------------

Then perhaps you could suggest one of those "more
concise statements" that would make "the point" in
your estimation. Please do so.
Virtually every sentence in the excerpts archived at
http://www.geocities.com/new_economics/productive_capacity/douglas-chapII.txt
http://www.geocities.com/new_economics/productive_capacity/douglas-chapX.txt
could be expanded into a book-length treatment. There
are in fact several profound points in the excerpts to
which I could direct your attention.
----------------------
"...some of our extremists latch on to this sort of
thing out of context and embarrass the rest of us by
making outlandish claims, such as abolishing all
taxation even in the modern economy."
------------------------------------
-----------------------------
This sort of thing? First of all, in the excerpts
there's not even a single word about taxation.
What is outlandish about the inferred presumption that
the world is currently consuming only twenty-five
percent of its technical productive capacity at the
current level of technology abstracted from its
political and/or economic technology?
Social Credit is about improving its political and/or
economic technology, which it sees as the main
impediment to the elimination of poverty in the midst
of plenty, is it not?

WBR, you are coming on. This time you added the extra
information one expects from a competent teacher to
the abuse used by one who is not on top of his job.
But I believe you could have made the point with one
of Douglas' more concise statements.
But you still missed the point. All I was pointing
out is, from experience, that some of our extremists
latch on to this sort of thing out of context and
embarass the rest of us by making outlandish claims,
such as abolishing all taxation even in the modern
econmy.
