My own response to the Wal Mart syndrome Keith is one of despair.
This "beggar thy neighbour" activity does nothing beneficial globally, a
problem which few will even look at. Driving down prices here by driving
down incomes there I would have thought should concern any with a passing
knowledge and understanding of A+B.
The fact that the Two bits appear in Two different economies does little
for global harmony. And as Social Creditors, amongst others, recognised
as a root cause of war.
At this present moment in the UK, the media are concerned with what has
become known as the "Bra Wars". A reportedly huge amount of ladies
underwear is holed up in ships laying off shore awaiting agreement about
tariffs.
There is no mention of where the purchasing power will come from to buy
these garments once they are actually in the shops. And what will happen
to the higher cost items whose sale they will displace.
Somebody, somewhere, has to think in terms wider than the village high
street, do they not?
Ken.
