Peter
I would not have ever considered that I would have to say this but you are
dead wrong.
First of all, you have no idea what my beliefs are!!
Second, I was pointing out that every, what you call canonized book, is
considered in the same value to those who believe it. Every religion
considers their book to be God inspired. People of every religion value
their book and their God the same as Christians consider theirs.
Third, I asked nothing of Christians I would not ask or expect anyone of any
other religion to give, dignity and respect. No different than the traffic
light wants everyone to stop for red and go for green, regardless of
religion, culture, colour or language.
Fourth, I did not realize that Social Credit was a Christian secret. I
thought that it was not only not a secret but available to the world. And
what I have been trying to say is that, regardless of whether it is
practical Christianity, practical Islam, practical Judaism, practical Baha'I,
practical Jain, practical Hindu or anything else, if you are going to
present it to the world as a good system it must be good for people
regardless of their religion, culture, language, or colour. The truth of
the matter, regardless of your belief, A + B, the national dividend and the
Cultural Heritage are not impossible to be understood by people of other
religions, cultures, languages or colours.
Fifth, there is a law or Golden Rule that is presented in the New Testament
of the Christian bible.
The Golden Rule
1.. Lay not on any soul a load that you would not wish to be laid upon you
and desire not for anyone the things you would not desire for yourself.
[Baha'u'llah, Gleanings] [Baha'I Faith]
2.. This is the sum of duty: do not do to others what would cause pain if
done to you. [Mahabharata 5:1517] [Hinduism]
3.. Treat not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.
[Udana-Varga 5:18] [Buddhism]
4.. One word which sums up the basis of all good conduct . loving
kindness. Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself.
[Analects 15:23] [Confucius]
5.. Not one of you truly believes until you wish for others what you wish
for yourself. [The Prophet Muhammad, Hadith] [Islam]
6.. What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour. This is the
whole Torah; all the rest is commentary. [Hillel, Talmud, Shabbat 31a]
[Judaism]
7.. Regard your neighbour's gain as your gain, and your neighbour's loss
as your loss. [T'ai Shang Kan Ying P'ien, 213-218] [Taoism]
8.. I am a stranger to no one; and no one is a stranger to me. Indeed, I
am a friend to all. [Guru Granth Sahib, pg. 1299] [Sikhism]
9.. One should treat all creatures in the world as one would like to be
treated. [Mahavira, Sutrakritanga] [Jainism]
10.. Do not do unto others whatever is injurious to yourself.
[Shayast-na-Shayast 13.29] [Zoroastrianism]
11.. We are as much alive as we keep the earth alive. [Chief Dan George]
[Native Spirituality]
12.. We affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all
existence of which we are a part. [Unitarian principle] [Unitarianism]
13.. In everything, do to others as you would have them do to you; for
this is the law and the prophets. [Jesus, Matthew 7:12] [Christianity]
{Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye
even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. (King James Version)}
So, if you are considering a simple request to treat all people with dignity
and respect as an attack than where is the arrogance and prejudice. Jim
knows me better than anyone on this list and he knows that to suggest
prejudice is an absolute abomination. This rule as presented by Jesus, and
all the others, is a rule to live by not just to be talked about, or never
talked about.
If everyone else can quote whomever they like than I should also have that
right and for it to come from a not religious source, even better.
And if Jim takes positioning of Jim in a hypothetical committee to spread
the word of Social Credit as a personal attack, then I am sorry. I could
just as easily have used the name Mohammad, if the position was that Social
Credit was being considered as practical Islam, and I was suggesting that he
not alienate his audience by trying to tell them that the world would have
to be Islamic if they were every going to understand and accept Social
Credit.
