You ought to acknowledge, Dan, that large-scale immigration, with its attendant break-up of extended families, is highly unnatural and also a loss to the countries of origin. People don't just naturally want to emigrate, they are driven to it. It would make much more sense to have tolerable economic conditions at home that would not drive people out. And unfortunately, part of the conditions at home that drive people out are a direct result of exploitation of those countries by international finance.
