Hi Michael.
Although I am not one of the experts that can quote Douglas chapter and
verse, it is my belief that Douglas would have objected to the idea of
buying "securities" with issued credit.
Both he, and Keynes, referred to the fact that such "investment " not only
took money out of circulating purchasing power, it set in train a series
of costs that had no equivalent representation in purchasing power.
Thereby replicating the set of problems that his ideas were intended to
deal effectively with.
