Yes, but if the savings are spent on creation of new capital, "consumption" of
labour and materials is taking place, even if it is to create wealth that will
not be available on the market for some length of time.

Think of it, John, in terms of tickets to goods and services. Savings aren't
"reduction of purchasing power," they are the consumer declining to consume.
Why, then, put more tickets into circulation?
