"Send too large a message to industry to slow down and someone goes broke. . . . It's a tough world out there." (John)
That's just what they tell you to justify "fiscal responsibility" and the like. But our message is, "That toughness is largely artificial and can be done away with, and we'll tell you how."
"There is the point that, at least in this country, there is so much that could be done and isn't. Care of the elderly and environmental problems for major examples. . . . There is any heaven's amount of work for those that want to do it, and they should have the right to employment and to adequate remuneration for so doing." (John)
So much scope for voluntarism by those who finally have the opportunity after quitting their stupid placeholder of a job in the adjunct to an adjunct of an unneeded industry!
