Hi Ken,
That would be Sir Oswald Stoll then, Ken. That was one of his theatres.
There's quite a bit about the Foundation named after him on the Internet,
and also a biography of sorts regarding how he got his start and made his
fortune. I didn't see anything in it regards to his efforts in the cause of
'monetary reform', though.
In the recent John Hughes book ''Major Douglas: The Policy of a Philosophy",
Stoll is mentioned as the author of a book titled "The People's Credit". He
apparently was of a like mind to Sir Arthur Kitson, and others of that era,
in believing the answer to a slump would be found in enhancing 'Producers'
access to credit. Douglas wrote quite extensively why that wouldn't work.
