Thanks for your observations about Dan Morin.They are valid, but sometimes
characters like that grate across my training as an historian. I then feel
compelled to set the record straight, who knows, perhaps one day the words
will not fall completely on stony ground. I was curious about your comment about
a "Texan heart". Although I have served alongside Texans during my army service
I am actually a naturalised New Zealander living in Whangarei NZ. I originated
in the North of England on the red rose side of the Pennines. I have a great
deal of respect for Texans. They call a spade a spade, and that sits well with
my Northern English Upbringing. The McGunnigle Surname is reasonably widespread
throughout the USA. Apparently at the turn of the19th/20th century W.McGunnigle
was a famous Baseball coach for one of the New York sides. There is a Lt
Com.John McGunnigle in the US navy who did an extensive study of intelligence
resources in the mid 1990's too.

Bill, I'm sure I speak for most of the participants here at this board
when I observe that Dan Morin's comments to a more serious and sincere
list participant is way over the top. It is so over the top and so
full of incivility and venom that none of us can possibly take him
seriously. His "speculation" is unwarranted and is disclosed in a most
malicious manner. We cannot believe that he can have any serious grounds for
his comments at all.
You know how I get about people like this. I'm normally patient...for a
time. I'm not giving Dan any of my time, and neither should anyone else.
Bill, can find it within your big wide Texas heart to boot his lil' ol fanny
off this list?
