When replying to a post could you please identify
or include the post, its author and date of issue? This message seems
completely detached without any reference point, making it impossible to
understand or to comment on. In a maze of hundreds and even thousands of
e-mails, enormous amounts of time can be expended in an attempt to link such
messages in a comprehensible manner. I will try to respond to your last
excellent issue of "Triumph of the Past."

I don't disagree with any of this. I
thought you had an objection to my article. The article has nothing to
say about sources or causes of Douglas's idea. It merely attempts to
state accurately what the idea is.
