Actually, more like predistribution, sharing our society's surplus
before an elite or the state have a chance to misspend it.

Looking more closely, you can find several huge ways that various taxes
differ. For instance, some fall on social values, some on individual
values. Some raise prices, some lower prices. Some can be replaced by
user fees, some cant. Etc.
