Excellent comment, and perhapos we could apply it to Social Credit too?

The bits that are basic, like Douglas brilliant analysis,  and those that follow on, on their merits, treated on a rational basis?

>>Dear All,
>>
>> A criticism levelled against Transfinancial
>>Economics, or TFE is that governments would be tempted
>>to overspend. This is unlikely by the very nature of
>>the system involved. How, and why?
>>
>>The Treasury Bank would be an independent public
>>authority, or even in full, or in part a type of
>>private commercial company. Unlike taxation there
>>would be no lump sum of billions to use rightly, or
>>wrongly by any democratic government in power. In
>>other words, new unearned money would have to be
>>created "out of thin air" (like banks but not as a
>>repayable loan) in a measured manner. Any finance
>>order from government would be independently checked
>>out to ensure that the planning, and relevant
>>resources were REALLY sound, and beneficial. This
>>process would be fast, and effective with virtually no
>>bureaucracy.
>>
>>This approach could be used by Grant Generating Banks
>>for specific NGOs who would have to present credible
>>plans that were carefully costed. Any excess amounts
>>could be applied for if absolutely necessary, and
>>would be checked out to see if there is a genuine
>>need. Thus, the grants they receive are always given
>>in a measured way. With donations, and fundraising
>>finance though there are large, or small lump sums of
>>finance which a NGO may be tempted to deliberately
>>misuse in some way...
>>
>>As can be see TFE does not create new unearned money
>>in an irresponsible fashion. If it did it would loose
>>all credibility as a true beneficial system of
>>finance. No doubt other laws could be instituted to
>>ensure that funds are created responsibly.
>>
>>Ofcourse, it must be forever remember that the influx
>>of new unearned money into the Economic Financial
>>System leads to GREATER PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITY WITHOUT
>>HYPER-INFLATION. This opens all sorts of new
>>oportunities for society....It certainly goes beyond
>>Binary Economics, and Interest Free Monetary Reform
>>which are fine, and necessary to a certain extent..
>>
>>
>>R. Searle
>>
>>
>>PS. The Treasury Bank, and the Grant Generating Banks
>>could under license become auto-profit companies. This
>>means that profit does not come from their customers
>>(in this case governments, and NGOs) but is
>>self-created under regulation.
