I am sure that there was another flag of the BEIC that is more obviously
linked to the design of the US flag. I cant remember where I saw it.
Anyway the main point I was making was that (as today) it is usual for
people to refer to the British or the British Empire of the past in relation
to its deeds, usually negative, when in fact it was a powerful elite who
manipulated politics and there needs to be a separation of sorts between
what each actually instigated. Rather like the present situation with the
US which now ' rules' the world.
It is normal for people to say the Americans are doing such and such when
the White House ( neo-cons and oil cabal)at present in my view doesnt
represent the American people.
