I understand the necessity for
differentiating Douglas from his imposters. And I truly understand the
necessity to differentiate the term "Social Credit" which is attributed to the
ideas of Douglas, and those who would usurp them. I understand that
completely.
What I dont' understand is the manner
in which it's done.
Bill, you claim to use the "socratic
method". I'm going to quote from Socrates "Apology", and see if this resembles
your "style" in any manner.
"This investigation has led to my having many enemies of the
worst and most dangerous kind, and has given occasion also to many calumnies,
and
I am called wise, for my hearers always imagine that I myself possess
the wisdom which I find wanting in others: but the truth is, O men of
Athens, that God only is wise; and in this oracle he
means to say that the wisdom of men is little or nothing; he is not speaking of
Socrates, he is only using my name as an illustration, as if he said, He, O men,
is the wisest, who, like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth
nothing."
Socrates, and those who practice the
Socratic method know that their "wisdom is in truth worth nothing", and that
"God only is wise". That is the ESSENCE of the Socratic method, and in
fact the quote I gave in response to Vic from Shakespeare in which he says,
"the fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool"
is only stolen from Socrates. True WISDOM comes from humilty, not
the incessant insults that are bandied about in this forum in ego
defense.
Douglas was a highly intelligent man,
but from what I read about him, he was also modest. And perhaps
this is the reason he was so wise?

The last Chairman of the Secretariat who would
have substantially agreed with Douglas and who understood Social Credit
completely was Dr. Bryan Monahan and before him Dr. Tudor Jones,
Vic Bridger
