Bill McGunnigle suggested that I contact the Labour Party for a copy of the
"Socialism and Social Credit" pamphlet, published in 1935. I took his
advice and contacted the Labour Party, which replied that their archive was
maintained by the People's History Museum. I went to the People's History Museum
Website and found this message:
"The museum galleries based at the Pump House are currently closed to the public
for re-development. A new People's History Museum is planned to re-open in late
2009. For more information, see The New Museum section."
I emailed them anyway, and was pleasantly surprised when they promptly replied
that they were going to photo-copy the publication, and mail it to me. I
received the photo-copy a few days later through the Post Office. They first
said that there would be a six pound charge for the service, but once they
realized I was in America, they sent it to me without charge. I thank them for
their graciousness.
My first priority is to scan the document into an electronic version, which I
will directly email to anyone who requests it. The document will be too large to
forward through Elistas.
My next step will be to convert it to plain text, which I will post to this
list.
