The Centacare Reconnect Program is seeking a permanent fulltime Youth and Family Worker. This outreach program
provides flexible family focused early intervention to young people and their
families experiencing conflict at home or for young people wishing to move back
home. The program covers the rural communities of West Wyalong, Grenfell,
Cowra, Boorowa, Blayney, Molong, Canowindra and surrounding areas in regional
NSW. The position is based out of
Cowra.
The
position will involve counselling, community development projects, group work
as well as utilising various early intervention strategies including individual
case management and the facilitation of family conferencing.
The
successful applicant will have the opportunity to strengthen already
consolidated collaborative working relationships with first to know agencies
including the effective work the program has developed with schools, youth
services and Indigenous young people within the community.
Qualifications
in a relevant discipline such as social work/psychology or welfare and/or
experience in family mediation and case management are essential. Applicant must also possess a current
drivers licence.
