To celebrate the launch of our new travel magazine, Go, Vibewire has teamed up with Lonely Planet to give away some awesome prizes to talented young travel writers, artists and photographers.
Do you bore your friends telling tales and showing photos of your adventures on the road? Got a shoebox or three full of travel memorabilia? This is the competition – and magazine – for you.
We are looking for submissions in three categories:
Creative writing: Travel-inspired fiction, poetry and other genres of creative writing.
First prize winner receives Lonely Planet prize pack including Journeys: travel literature, Travel Journal, Lonely Planet Six Degrees DVD Vol 1, Lonely Planet Bluelist
, Lonely Planet Guidebag, and their work published in Go magazine and Vibewire.net's On The Road travel section.
Two highly commended submissions will be awarded prize packs including Journeys: travel literature and Lonely Planet Bluelist.
Non-fiction: Travel-related features, news, rants, personal stories and other non-fiction narratives.
First prize winner receives Lonely Planet prize pack including Travel Writing, Travel Journal, Lonely Planet Six Degrees DVD Vol 1, Lonely Planet Bluelist, Lonely Planet Guidebag, and their work published in Go magazine and
Vibewire.net's On The Road travel section.

FURTHER INFORMATION
Our mission at Go is to be a travel magazine with a difference. We aim to present young people's real experiences of travelling, not thinly disguised advertising for pre-packaged holidays and guided tours. The magazine is targeted at the types of travellers most young Australians are: budget backpackers interested in discovering the unusual, experiencing the original, and celebrating journeys and destinations.
We're looking for text-based pieces of different lengths: 300, 500, 800 and 1200
words. These can be on any topic you like as long as it's about travel or relates to travel in some way. Be creative, and try to think of a strong story that will entertain and inform our audience. We're particularly interested in quirky or unusual stories and perspectives, content focused on travelling within Australia, and content that sheds light on political or social issues.
