The Dept of Adolescent Medicine and NSW
Centre for Advancement of Adolescent Health is hosting a Youth Health 2006
conference called "Young People's Health-what's it going to
take? " on 13 to 15 November
2006 at Sydney Showground
Olympic Park Sydney.
This
conference is for people who work with young people around health and
well-being.
Here are some of the highlights:
- youth participation and presentations
- the latest information and research from 6
international and 9 Australian keynote speakers
- 36 concurrent sessions and workshops with
presentations from over 170 health care professionals from Australia and the
Asia Pacifc region
- a showcase of youth creative talents
- over 35 poster presentations, many featuring the
latest in media and technology formats
- a community forum 'World wide worry:do media and
technology help or hinder young people' ? facilitated by Julie McCrossin and
including Dr Norman Swan
- conference dinner with young people involved as
speakers, entertainment and more
- special streams for GP's
