Then you might be interested in the Passion,
Entrepreneurship and the Rebirth of Local Economies seminar in Sydney on 28 November.
Right now, a young person you know is
dreaming about doing something to improve his or her lot. If we could learn how
to help that young person transform the dream into meaningful work, we would be
half way to changing the economic fortunes of the entire community.
- Dr Ernesto
Sirolli
Led by Dr Ernesto Sirolli the conference will explore a
successful business mentoring approach called Enterprise Facilitation.
Enterprise Facilitation is based on the idea that within
communities can be found all the talent and enthusiasm needed to create strong,
flourishing, economically viable neighbourhoods. What’s needed is people
who can help transform that talent and enthusiasm into tangible business
results.
Enterprise Facilitators work with a community-based board to
provide free, confidential, business management and networking advice to
aspiring entrepreneurs and existing businesses. They don’t provide funds,
but help entrepreneurs develop a solid business plan they can use to approach
lending institutions.
The seminar is being supported by the NSW Service for the Treatment
and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors. We are planning to initiate
Enterprise Facilitation in the Auburn, Sydney area.
