Hi All,
I was wanting to seek some advice about lead
ership camps......
In the Orana Far West we are runnin
g a project which involves Aboriginal
Young people from
16 communities across the far west of NSW will be coming
together 4 times a year.
The project aims are:
路
To provide opportunities for Aboriginal young people
to develop
knowledge skills, knowledge and qualities in
leadership and community
governance
路 To Encourage
Aboriginal young people to participate in forums and
lo
cal and regional decision-making processes
路 Enhanc
e Aboriginal young people鈥檚 self esteem and increase th
eir
sense of connection to their community
路 Ident
ifies and supports Aboriginal young people to develop the
ir
potential
路 To empower young Aboriginal people
through a better knowledge of
themselves, their own comm
unities, other Aboriginal and Indigenous
communities
I was wondering if anyone knew of similar programs or h
ad any ideas about
who we might be able to get to facili
tate workshops with young people.
