Hello All,
I am trying to build an argument for the importance of role models for
young people. This argument is then something which will need to be
communicated to a lay person. This argument is to be used within the
context of gaining support for a project that involves role models.
I am specfically Not looking within the context of drug or alcohol
rehabilitation, rather for your run-of-the-mill young person. I am
also looking at role models that aren't necessarily someone the young
person has a direct relationship with. Say in the same way John Howard
would be a role model to an aspiring conservative politician.
I am looking for any literature or research on the influence and
importance of role models on young people. I dont have anything close
to basic theoretical knowledge of this topic to begin an effective
study (My background is in IT & IT Management)
