Coordination and managerial duties 1. To maintain and upgrade the Centre’s infrastructure and associated systems including: revising the Strategic Plan, workplans, monitoring and evaluation systems, developing project guidelines for quality assurance, staff performance review and induction 2. To manage CAAH projects and activities (in accordance with the Centre's objectives and strategic plan 2007 - 2009), including supervision and support of Centre staff 3. To undertake staff contracting and recruitment in consultation with the Head of the Centre 4. To ensure accurate records and statistics of the Centre’s activities 5. To attend/lead regular management meetings 6. To provide the Head with planning and facilitation support for quarterly Advisory Board meetings 7. To co-author reports for NSW Health as required in the Funding and Performance Agreement, and other stakeholders 8. To provide a written monthly update on Centre activities and progress to the Head of the Centre 9. To assist the Head of the Centre in managing Centre’s finances through grant management, budget review and planning 10. To delegate tasks to CAAH team members where appropriate
Essential: Tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in management, health or social sciences or other relevant fields. Demonstrated understanding of the issues relating to the health and wellbeing of young people and health promotion. Demonstrated skills in human resources and financial management. Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills. High level computer skills including Microsoft applications. Demonstrated experience and success in proposal writing and grant applications. Demonstrated experience in strategic analysis and planning. Demonstrated commitment to networking, collaboration and partnership building.
Desirable: Demonstrated commitment to the health and wellbeing of young people. Existing relevant professional networks and links with governments. Familiarity and links with existing adolescent health services, programs and projects in NSW. Current NSW Driver’s license and proven good driving record.
