Embrace Education is in need of new youth volunteers to become mentors for
literally and culturally primary and secondary school students! Can you please
foward it to your email lists or contact us if you want to get involved! It's an
exciting organisation that has over 60 university students already working
closely with students! We are hoping to have 250 by 2008, so become one of them!
EMPOWER somebody else through education. INSPIRE yourself by making a
difference.
Embrace Education is a not for profit organisation that links literally and
culturally diverse secondary and primary school students with University tutors.
Embrace Education began its work around September 2006 and has worked primarily
with Sudanese and Afghani students. It is also hoping to extend its services
to Koori children in the Melbourne CBD in 2007.
Volunteering is 1-2 hours and is local to Monash University.
2007 is looking to be an exciting year for Embrace Education and there are
many promising cross cultural exchanges and friendships that are possible between
university tutors and local students. We would love your support!
Education students in particular could benefit from this initiative, gaining
new skills and developing friendships with culturally and literally diverse
students.
