School’s Out! Youth Consultants is a registered Australian business,
dedicated to delivering empowering, personal development and
life-skills programs & presentations to today’s young people, and to
those involved in their lives – both Australia-wide and internationally.
Schools Out! Youth Consultants offers three (3) core services, being:
1. Program Facilitation;
2. Resources; and
3. Consultancy.
Schools Out! Youth Consultants offers dynamic personal development and
life-skills based programs & presentations for young people and those
involved in their lives. Available to schools and other organisations
internationally, Schools Out! can offer a wide range of programs &
presentations that can be tailored to suit individual student needs,
and work within your school’s charter.
Each of the programs encourages open discussion amongst participants,
with expression promoted and valued. Schools Out! does not believe in
the stereotypical high-impact motivational presentations, that bring
young people up on a high, but often leave them with no practical
skills to implement positive changes. Rather, Schools Out! programs
aim to provide young people with the tools & techniques that they can
then take away outside the program/presentation, and use in their lives.
As a response to the publicity and success surrounding the Schools Out!
Young Men’s Program Michael has received many calls from schools,
teaching organisations and government departments interested in his
innovative program. Michael has facilitated the Young Men’s Program to
schools nationally, including some remote & regional areas of Australia.
Schools Out! founder, Michael Colling, is a qualified Youth Worker with
a background in Education and has had over 10 years of experience in a
range of settings in Victorian schools and local Council’s. He wrote
and co-hosted the radio special, ‘Nova’s All Ears,’ on Melbourne’s
Nova100 FM in 2005, that looked at youth suicide and depression and
later that year, received an Australian Commercial Radio Award (ACRA).
His first book, The Other Side of Blue, is being released through Finch
Publishing (www.finch.com.au) this August – an anthology of Australian
short stories about overcoming adversity and involves a number of
high-profile Australians.
