The ACT otherWISE network is an active and growing network of young
people in the ACT who want to learn about sustainability and to make
a difference in their own lives and their communities and we would
love you and your friends to become part of this network.
As an introduction to the network, free Youth in Sustainability
workshops are being held for young Canberrans aged 15-25 years. The
next workshop will be held over three consecutive Wednesday evenings
during November 2007. The workshops are designed to educate and
inform young Canberrans on sustainability and to inspire them to
reduce their individual and community consumption patterns. Ongoing
activities and support will be available to participants as they make
changes to their lives, get involved in existing community projects
or design their own sustainability focused community projects.

Next Workshop dates:
14th, 21st and 28th of November
Workshop times: 6.30 -9pm
Workshop location: Meeting room 7 (first floor) in the Griffin
Centre, Genge St Civic
Also: an optional site visit to local sustainable community projects
will be held on the 24th of November.
Workshop places are limited, and participants need to register at
least a week before the workshops begin.
