Dear Youthgas,
There's still time to send news contributions for the November edition
of the email newsletter, 'Youth Field Xpress'-- if you have news of a
program or project, course or event that relates to Australian youth
work / youth research / practice which you would like to "air"
nationally, then I'd be very grateful if you would send your news item
to me. To see what the newsletter is like, go to
http://www.acys.info/publications/newsletter/
The newsletter is issued free of charge by the Australian
Clearinghouse for Youth Studies (ACYS, the publishers of the journal,
'Youth Studies Australia'). To subscribe to the newsletter, send an
email to: join-yfx@edna.edu.au
Submission requirements: see below.
Deadlines:
... for the November edition: Midday on Wednesday 14 November for
publication by the end of this week.
... for the December edition: Midday on 4 December for publication on
the 7 December 2007.
... The January 2008 edition will be a "housekeeping" edition only (18
January 2008).
... Deadline for the February 2008 edition: Deadline Midday on 12
February for publication on 15 February 2008.
Requirements:
Contributions sent for consideration to 'Youth Field Xpress' need to be
* relevant to youth researchers and youth workers, policy-makers
and practitioners in any sector, e.g. health, education, and must be
relevant news for those who work with youth
* very concise
* 300 words max
* sourced with contact details for further information (include the
following: name of contact person, phone number, email address, web
site address)
* sent via email in the body of an email (rather than PDFs if at
all possible)
Sufficient detail must be given in order to help ACYS decide on
whether or not to use your content, and, if it is used, to reflect
your content clearly and accurately in order to help readers make
informed judgments about your content's relevance to their needs.
Australian information that is of national as well as regional
interest is sought. International material is included where relevant
to Australian youth studies or youth affairs.
News of events (conference, symposium, workshop or forum) must be of
significant interest to the youth field and/or be of more than
regional relevance.
ACYS reserves the right not to include content submitted.
Thanks!
