Employment Opportunity - Policy Officer

Volunteering Australia, the national peak body for volunteering, is seeking a part-time policy officer to proactively work towards assessing and developing issues impacting on volunteering, the volunteer-sector and volunteers.

This will include preparing written submissions and responses on policy issues to government, development of information sheets and conducting an annual national survey of volunteer issues.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated policy development experience, research and analytical skills. You will have high level communication skills (oral and written) with the capacity to work with a range of stakeholders.

Experience in working in a not-for-profit organisation or government role with exposure to the not-for-profit sector, and a knowledge of government and political processes would be well regarded.
