Subject:[youthgas] Youth Forum and GLBTIQ Human Rights Conference

RAINBOW CONVERSATIONS
GLTBI Human Rights in the Asia Pacific
Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 January 2008
Melbourne Town Hall, Melbourne

So much to talk about, so little time. Come and be part of Rainbow
Conversations - a two-day GLBTI human rights conference featuring the
most remarkable and diverse group of activists, academics and community
leaders ever gathered in Melbourne. Same Sex Attracted Transgender
Queer Youth (SSATQY) and those who work with them are invited to
participate in the first ever queer young people's Human Rights forum.

We are encouraging youth participation in the conference as well as
providing ample opportunity for mini workshops afterwards looking at
strengthening, advocacy and networking around some of the ideas and
issues presented.

Overarching objective is to encourage young queer peoples awareness  of
current opportunities, groups and work and to encourage sharing of
experience and connection between participants.

This is an opportunity for young people to actively participate in a
conversation about Human Rights. Join other young people from across
the state, country and the Asia Pacific region in talking about what it
means to be young and queer today.

The ALSO Foundation will be providing and offering financial assistance
for young people interested in attending the conference. For more info
call Zoe Dunbar at ALSO on (03) 9827 4999 or email zoed@also.org.au
