Luke, YWCA Aotearoa have produced a great resource ;
their DIY- Do It Yourself Guide, one that we've used a fair bit with young
people, it has aspecific NZ focus but is a good introduction to being a
changemaker.

Advocacy Guide
Hi Everyone,
I am looking for a guide that provides some advice to young people on how
they might go about undertaking advocacy on a particular issue they are
passionate about. Including what 'advocacy' is, what kinds of activities they
might do to bring attention to the issue, how they might go about engaging other
young people, how they could go about approaching government etc.
While there is a lot of literature and resources on youth participation,
particularly from the perspective of how mainstream (and youth focused)
organisations might go about engaging young people in their work, I have not
been able to find anything that is targeted at young people who want to get out
and do their own advocacy independent of existing
organisations.
If anyone knows of any resources, I would be very grateful if you could let
me know.
Thank-you very much.
Kind Regards,
Luke Bo'sher
