Q&A Leadership Program –
Applications Now Open
A leadership program for established and
emerging young leaders in the GLBT and queer
communities
The
Q&A leadership program is open to individuals with a commitment to community
leadership and social change who are
gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender (GLBT), same sex attracted, gender
diverse or queer, and who are 18-28 years of age.
Commencing
in March 2008, participants will undertake a program that provides:
§
15 days targeted training in complex
leadership issues
§
Practical, hands-on experience
in:
o
group work and group dynamics
o
examining Australia’s key
social issues
o
delivering a collaborative community
leadership project
§
A formal mentoring program linking
participants with community leaders/role models
§
Learning from the real life
experiences of community leaders
Q&A
aims to identify, support, develop and
promote our emerging young community leaders. It is about
making a difference, participating, caring and facing the complex challenges of
our communities and our society.
