It's getting a bit exciting ......with
just over 4 weeks to Youth Week ...and 2 weeks to the Youth Stage at
the Sydney Royal Easter Show.....it's
COUNT DOWN!!!
‘Shout, Share, Live,
Unite’ and celebrate 2008 Youth Week from 5 - 13 April.
This year it is 20 years of Youth Week
in NSW...Youth Week turns 20 and is still young!
Since 1989, when Youth Week first
appeared on the state’s calendar, Youth Week has continued to grow as one of the
primary ways of engaging young people in a way where their participation is not
only valued, but is vital to its success. The first NSW Youth Week slogan was
‘Get Into It’. There was an opening concert at Bondi Pavilion, a State
Government Youth Forum and performances by school students in Martin Place, Sydney.
In 2008, NSW celebrates 20 years of
youth participation in Youth Week. There will be over 1000 local events and
activities across the state!
